Hi,
Well I recently acquired this new email account on yahoo. A friend before me had used it. Well I sent out an email to a mass group of people, and as the sender it said my friends name
Example:
from: %26quot;Katie Berry%26quot; %26lt;email addres@yahoo.com%26gt;
Question is, how do I change that to say my name. I've already checked aliases and identities and it isn't saved under any of those catergories.
Can you please help because the people i sent the email to think that I am my friend! (even though I stated my name lol)
How do you change your name that appears in Sender Box?
Sure----you just need to change the %26quot;from line%26quot; setting.
She probably changed it when she used it.
Mail page%26gt;%26gt;options (top right)%26gt;%26gt;scroll to and click on %26quot;general preferences%26quot;. At the top of that page----erase the name that shows on the From line and type in something else---your name or whatever suits you-----then click %26quot;save%26quot; at bottom of page.
Just in case you're using the %26quot;New Mail%26quot;.
Mail page%26gt;%26gt;options%26gt;%26gt;mail options%26gt;%26gt;accounts (side panel)%26gt;%26gt;add/edit an account%26gt;%26gt;Yahoo mail (side panel)%26gt;%26gt;edit%26gt;%26gt;general preferences----and change it and save it.
