Just inform the relevant authorities Tax DWP Bank If you drive Vehicle licence etc what you wish to be known as and providing you aren't doing this for fraudulent reasons there is no problem

9 years ago it was 拢45.00 at a solicitors office. I'm assuming the price has risen by now according to inflation perhaps, although you may want to call round different solicitors as they may have different rates.
